Fabric-backed wallcovering for hotels
Guest corridors, rooms and lift lobbies take luggage trolleys, housekeeping carts and daily cleaning. Fabric-backed vinyl is the hotel standard because it takes all three.
A hotel corridor is one of the hardest-working walls in any building. Trolleys and luggage scuff the lower half, housekeeping wipes it daily and a refurbishment has to happen in a short window between bookings. A 15 oz fabric-backed vinyl has a woven polyester-cotton (Osnaburg) scrim behind a solid vinyl face, so it resists tearing and gouging and the surface can be scrubbed with detergent.
For guest rooms, the same material gives the look of linen, silk or grasscloth without the maintenance. The textile-effect collections are the usual choice for headboard walls and wardrobe niches.
